One of my favorite things about this job is feeling like I am part of the family when I document weddings. It astounds me how that happens so often that people will let me into their lives. Being able to document multiple family members makes that experience even more meaningful. That is exactly what happened last Friday when I got the chance to photograph Lindsey and Lance’s wedding in Richmond, Mo. It all started with the wedding of Lindsey’s brother Michael to Holly a few years back. I then got the chance to hang out with their family again while documenting the birth of Michael and Holly’s first child. So when I got the call from Lindsey to shoot her wedding I was ecstatic. I loved the laid back way Lindsey and Lance approach life. That always makes for great moments. Here are two of my favorite images from their wedding reception at The View at Briarcliff.
The first is Lindsey and her father during the father/daughter dance.
You can’t beat a sparkler exit.
