A couple of weeks ago I was asked by 98.9 the Rock to mount a camera and do some time lapse photography for their huge annual outdoor concert. When I say huge I mean 15 bands, 2 stages, 11 hours and 50,000+ people. Unlike anything I have ever seen and so completely opposite of my normal Saturdays at a wedding. Brought me back to my journalism days when I was solely responsible for getting the shot, downloading at midnight, not having my wonderful assistant to remind me when I forgot something. Anyway, I decided to use my photo pass and shoot around a bit as well. Loved every minute of this day no matter how wet I was – did not compare to the intensity of the fans and the awesome music playing for 11 hours straight. Enjoy some images that I picked from the night.
When you say you enjoyed it, do you mean out of anthropological curiosity or out of plain love of the music? Somehow I never figured you for a Godsmack fan.
Killer…absolutely killer!
So many iconic images of this event as only you can capture them. You are good sir, very good.
AMAZING AMAZING what a fun job!!!
