Rebecca + Mitul | Wedding

359_b_steincamp

The best part of my job is the diversity.  Knowing that every event I attend will be unique and different from the last keeps things exciting for me.  I love the opportunity to meet so many interesting people and learn about their traditions  and cultures.

Rebecca and Mitul’s wedding was as diverse and  full of surprises as it could get.  Just like I like it.  First off  were all of the new experiences for me as I got to document Mitul and his family performing traditional  family ceremonies and how the entire event was a perfect combination of eastern and western traditions.  On top of that mother nature sent us some surprises of her own with a pretty intense round of thunder storms.  It was the perfect storm for me as I flew by the seat of my pants visually navigating my way through the day.  I loved it.  I love it when things are new to me and I love it even more when things do not go to plan on a wedding day.  The thunder and lighting  helped us all to throw plans out the window and just rely on serendipity to take over.  As always it worked out and it was a joy to witness.  Plus the gals at Simple Elegance did an amazing job as usual handling all of what mother nature could throw at us.

Rebecca and Mitul live in California so I spent most of time talking with her parents about the wedding.  They were a joy to work with so it was fun to watch them getting involved on the wedding day.

Just when Mitul and his family were safe under the tent the skies opened up.  Guests had to make a run for it to the tent in the rain.  I love this image of a guest using her scarf as cover.
