It is no secret that COVID-19 has changed all of our lives so it felt really good to be behind the camera again recently when I documented the Perry family at their home. Photographing behind a mask is a challenge no doubt but one I was able to overcome in order to document this wonderful family. They just recently welcomed a new addition to the family and wanted to capture this time of their lives. It was the perfect afternoon full of good light and lots of love. This was my first time photographing this family and what a treat it was as I have documented all of the mom’s siblings in one form or another over the years. I so love being able to be allowed into the lives of a family and witness their everyday. My goal for these Kansas City family sessions or Normal Day Sessions as we call them is to not only provide family photos that go beyond but to also make as much art of their lives as possible. I think we did a good job on both parts this time.
