Melanie + Eddie | New Years Eve wedding

29

I thought it appropriate to make my first wedding blog post of 2011 to be of my last wedding of 2010 and the first of 2011 that I shot.

Plus I just love this family so I wanted to give them a bit of teaser before they came in for their viewing in a few weeks.

I had the honor of spending New Years Eve 2010 with Melanie and Eddie, their families and closest friends.  It was a wonderful evening and celebration.  I got to know Melanie’s family a few years ago when I documented her older sister, Melissa’s wedding.  They are all so close and over the top hospitable.  It is always a joy to be able to work with a family multiple times documenting each sibling as they get married.  This wedding was no exception.  We arrived that day at the Intercontinental Hotel on the Plaza to open arms and welcoming trust.  Since they all have been through this before we were able to simply jump in and start doing what we do best.  It was another flawless event carefully directed by the one and only Michael Nolte of Notle’s Bridal complete with giant party poppers showering the crowd with streamers at the stroke of midnight.  It was awesome.

The ceremony took place at Our Lady of Sorrows Church and the ballroom of the Intercontinental Hotel never looked better.  I only wish she had more siblings so we could do it all over again!  These people really know how to throw a party and make everyone around them feel right at home.  Thank you so much for letting us document your day and ring in the new year with you all.

Onto the images.

The celebration went well passed the stroke of midnight with an after party that was just as much fun as the wedding reception.

Hope you enjoy your little teaser guys.  See in a few weeks!
