Last Saturday Courtney and Conner made it official at an event jammed packed full of family and love.
There were many things I loved about this wedding:
Being trusted by a teacher of my two sons to document her daughter’s wedding.
How giddy and utterly blissful Courtney, was the entire day. She truly was the star of the show.
How down to earth, simple, and laid back this wedding was.
The ceremony taking place in the church Courtney’s dad helped design.
The mother of bride weeping while her husband danced with their daughter.
How excited the grandparents were to win the anniversary dance.
And grandma’s red nail polish.
But most of all, I loved how Courtney and Connor hugged. I found it wonderfully comforting.
Connor is close to a foot taller than Courtney. She has trouble putting her arms around his neck, but they work together. They have figured it all out.
Courtney simply buries her face into his chest and he embraces her with this sort of bear-like hug and it is awesome. That hug resulted in of my favorite images at the end of the night while they waited for the elevator to their room after their reception ended at The Embassy Suites in Kansas City.
It was perfect.
