Rachel + Greg | Wedding

Family is what we are all about. We love when families welcome us into their lives and let us document important moments for them. It is even better when we get to be there for years and years of “firsts” in their lives.

The wedding of Rachel and Greg came to us through Becca. Much like the blog post that Becca did just before — she had shot  Rachel’s sisters wedding a few years ago. When Becca was booked for this wedding the natural next step was for me to shoot the wedding and I am so glad that I was invited into this family as Becca was years ago.

Although Rachel and Greg live in Chicago I got the pleasure of getting to know them we did their engagement session. I realized then, and  the wedding day also proved,  that they are just happy, natural, laid-back  and loving people.

Unfortunately Greg’s Grandmother had a heart issue the morning of the wedding and headed to KU Med. While there his Grandfather was also admitted for heart problems. True to their character they put family first. After the ceremony we headed to the hospital for a quick visit to make sure everyone was ok before heading to the reception.

Party time.

Delish did such a wonderful job making the amazing food fit the warm and cozy feel of the party. Milk and cookies were just the beginning.
