I love finding moments that are unexpected and subtle but tell stories of who people are. Ultimately I love hearing people talk about things that happened on a wedding day and I think to myself I have a photo of that. That is my goal at a wedding. It is not always easy but I do my best to pay attention to events as well as story to make that happen.
Today, I have an image from Katie and Michael’s recent wedding in Lawrence, Kansas that I think will be a moment Katie will remember for years to come.
Her sister has just gone above and beyond her duties by applying Blister Block to her sisters foot as the dress was being finished up. She promptly said, “That is the most disgusting thing I have ever done”! Everyone broke out in laughter including their mom. It was just the kind of moment I love. Katie with her mom and her sister in one frame sharing a laugh like they have done for years together. A moment that will surely gain in meaning as the years pass.
