March for Our Lives Kansas City

Kansas City March for our Lives Rally

Theis Park, Kansas City, Missouri

This weekend I was a proud father as I took my 12 year old son with me to the March for our Lives rally in Kansas City. Cameras in hand, we were among the 5,000+ people that gathered in Theis Park.

Going back to my roots and playing photojournalist for the day alongside my son was an amazing experience. Especially at such an impactful event. My passion runs deep for photojournalism and it felt good to share this time with him.

I am so proud of how eager and fearless he was, but in tune with the great cause we were there for. His determination and creative eye made for a great set of images that we’re all proud of here. It’s pretty interesting to see a kids perspective when they’re in the middle of such an experience.

Most of all, it was a powerful movement to document in our community. I’m still in awe of the turn out and vast array of attendees for the March in Kansas City.

Below are some the favorite images that I took from the March.
