Kristina + Jerod | A Lawrence Kansas Documentary Wedding Moment

Kristina + Jerod | A Lawrence Kansas Documentary Wedding Moment

Sometimes my wedding videography clients book me, and then because of budget or just uncertainty about what they want, they purchase more films of their wedding later on down the road. I try to keep my pricing as flexible as possible for this very reason. You simply cannot always predict prior to the wedding what you will want to remember the day with, be it a short film or involved documentary. Back in 2013, Kristina and Jerod were wed. Soon after, I delivered them a short film of their wedding (you can see it by clicking here!). They knew that they would eventually want one of my wedding documentary films, so we conducted interviews of them and than archived the footage until the right time for them and their budget. The time for their documentary film is now and I could not be happier. This week marks their three year wedding anniversary, and to celebrate I thought I’d post a little teaser from their film. Sit back and enjoy a couple of minutes of Kristina and Jerod during their favorite moment at their wedding reception....

Kristina + Jerod | A Wedding Short Film

I had been looking forward to the wedding of Kristina and Jerod for months. I knew upon meeting them in the studio that their wedding day would be an explosion of emotion. When it came to editing their short film together, it was like trying to find a clear voice in a storm of emotions and moments. Kristina and Jerod wear their hearts on their sleeve and take no prisoners when it comes to showing their love and excitement about getting married. This shines through in their vows, but is also clear in how they interact with their family and friends. It is even apparent in their unabashed love of all styles of music, and the use of air guitar as a dance move (reportedly one of their favorite moments of the night). Due to this storm of emotion and moments, in addition to their lengthy and heartfelt vows, this short film is one of the longest I have created to date. I kept a large bulk of the vows intact not simply because of what they are saying, but how they hold each other and look at each other as they are saying it. Enjoy. I’d like to give a special thank you to Jason Domingues for understanding how we work as film makers. You can see more of Kristina and Jerod on his blog,...
