Alex + Keith | A Puerto Vallarta Wedding Video

Alex + Keith | A Puerto Vallarta Wedding Video

Alex and Keith didn’t just go to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to get married, they went to provide their closest family and friends an intimate place to have fun and experience their love. In my opinion, this is a great reason to have a destination wedding. There is something magical about transporting your loved ones to an unusual place that enhances the wedding experience. It is that experience that I find extremely important for every wedding I shoot, so no matter where I’m at my style doesn’t change. Alex and Keith were not concerned about an overblown Hollywood-style wedding film, they preferred their wedding experience captured as it was in a realistic and documentary way– and so they found me.     Playa Fiesta hosted the wedding party for the weekend as well as the reception. Teaser Tuesday | Puerto Vallarta Mexico wedding photography of Amy and John

Crazy that I almost suffered heavy bodily damage on the side of a cliff getting an image, and crazy how friends of mine that are amazing wedding photographers flew down from New York to shoot with me. This is one wedding I won’t soon forget. Thanks Amy and John for making it possible! Here are a few of my favorite images from the trip. The wedding took place at the Iberostar Resort in Punta Mita, Mexico.   Amy getting her hair done by her friend while sneaking in lunch in the Presidential suite. I don’t normally post portraits as part of Teaser Tuesday but I had to post this one. I feel it is always important when shooting destination weddings to work hard to capture the beauty of the location. I was thrilled to discover this area while on a walk the day of the wedding on the beach. I knew we had to go there for the portrait time following the ceremony. I also knew it was risky as I had no idea what the tide would do and it was a 10 minute walk so time was of the essence. We pushed hard and it was worth it. Not only did I have to break into the backyard of this abandoned house but I also had to scale a brick wall and maneuver myself into position on the edge of cliff to...
